It really does not have to be difficult to understand.

Whether or not you agree with the subject matter is up to you, and you are certainly free to make up your own mind about the material presented here.

How To Stop Hearing Loss?

Submitted by: Rudy Silva

My mother is almost 90 years and has a hearing loss problem. Her problem started when she was around 70 years. But, most health or physical issues start much earlier. They start from the early twenties or sooner. As you age, your various organs and physical structures start to weaken and deteriorate and become less active. The deterioration rate depends on your emotional and physical health.

Your health depends on your eating habits and the nutrients that you supply to your body.

Loud Noises

How can you tell if you will have hearing loss when you get older? First you have to protect your ears from over stimulation. Listening to loud music with or without ear phone can damage your ear and make them less sensitive as you age. It is best to keep the volume natural. If you work in a high noise surrounding, then you need to use protective ear covers.

Next, when you clean your ears of ear wax, is the wax hard or soft? If it is hard, then you need to eat more good oils – omega 3, omega 6, and omega 9. These oils – olive oil, fish oil, flax oil, hemp oil, caster oil, and primrose oil – help keep ear wax softer and easier to clean out of your ears. Hard wax is hard to clean out of your ears and tends to deposit on your ear drum, slowly over time, making it stiff and less able to vibrate.

Anti-oxidants

Make sure your diet is high in anti-oxidants. This can be in the form of food – fruits and vegetables – or supplements. But keep in mind that only a certain amount of the supplements you take are absorbed. So you normally need to take more than is recommended. A good anti-oxidant will help fight off and eliminate free radicals that damage the tissue in your ear drum and surrounding areas. Free radicals can damage your ear by causing ear inflammation. This inflammation can cause loss of hearing and permanent damage to your ear.

MSM Remedy

One other remedy that you can use to keep your ears healthy is to use MSM eye drops. A few drops in both ears, just before bedtime, will keep your ear drum from hardening and permeably. MSM accumulate in cell walls to make them soft and flexible which allows nutrients to enter the cell and toxins to move out of the cell. MSM is also an anti-oxidant since it will tie up protein that can accumulate in your ear tissue and damage it.

MSM eye drops are available on the internet and are inexpensive. Just a side note, use them for your eyes and give yourself more health benefits. Using MSM in your eyes will insure that you will never have Glaucoma. Again MSM will make tissue permeable and the will release pressure form the eyeball – Glaucoma- or release pressure from behind the eardrum bring the eardrum back to normal.

So, protect your ears from loud noises, especially if these noises are heard for long periods at time. Then eat a lot of fruits and vegetables or chose a good anti-oxidant supplement to get the anti-oxidants that will protect your ears from free radical damage. Finally, use MSM eye drops in your ears to keep your ear drum flexible so it can vibrate and give you hearing.

Quel piercing tragus is quite a popular subject, and you will find some information in the article below. This should help you get started on your search for information. I hope you find the article relevant, and that you will share it with others. Do let us know what you think about the article.

Are You Ready To Get A Tongue Piercing?

Submitted by: Art Nahshon

Tongue piercing, with its provocative and intriguing appeal, has become popular in the past few years. Unlike other piercings, it doesn?t restrict body movement because of its location. It is also very discrete and can be worn without worrying over going to job interviews and meeting the parents. Also, according to some, it adds pleasure to intimate moments. Because of this, wearers of tongue rings have a very sensual aura and are uniquely appealing to some men.

Although it is it the in thing today and many celebrities are sporting them, getting a tongue piercing involves some risks that you might need to deal with during and after the process. Going through with it is a very big decision. And, it requires a lot of preparation and research. It shouldn?t be a spur of the moment thing that you?ll regret later. Here are some tips that you should consider before getting a tongue piercing.

Avoid the Risks

Tongue piercing is relatively safer than piercings because the chances of bleeding and getting a bacteria infection are less likely. Among the areas that are usually pierced, the tongue heals the fastest. In fact, it only takes four weeks for a tongue piercing to heal as compared to other piercings which can take months and even a year to heal. But, that doesn?t mean that it is totally risk free.

There is still a risk of excessive bleeding if a blood vessel is hit. And, this can only be avoided by getting an experienced piercing artist because a qualified piercer can avoid blood vessels. This is one of the reasons why you should do your research before you get pierced especially if it is your first time. Do ask around. After all, we wouldn?t go to a dentist that we know nothing about. We should be as protective of our tongue as we are with our teeth.

If you don?t feel comfortable with the person who is going to do your piercing, call it off and find another piercing salon. In these cases, following your gut feel can be a very good idea. Upon entering the salon, you should also give it a good look. Make sure that they have an Association of Professional Piercers certificate. APP is an organization of piercers that make piercing rules that will ensure your safety. You should also observe the artist while he is doing your piercing. Make sure that the sterilized needle that will be used on you, comes from a sealed package.

Choosing a tongue barbell is also important. First, look for one that is made of implant quality stainless steel because it doesn?t cause any foreign body reaction or in the skin. The size of the straight barbell is also very important. Pick a longer barbell because it gives room for the initial swelling and lessens the discomfort. After the swelling has let up, you can pick a shorter barbell in order to stop the bleeding and lessen the risks of damaging your teeth and gums.

These are the things that you need to consider when getting a tongue piercing. Are you ready to get one?

Why I Hate An Ear Infection

Submitted by: Analeese Burnabaker

Anyone who has experienced the privilege and the fear of bringing a new baby home from the hospital knows what a mixture of emotions you experience as a new parent with the responsibility and joys of having a new addition to your family. Only new parents know what it is truly like to have a lack of sleep and what it feels like to know that you were directly responsible for bringing a new life into the world. There is no greater joy in all of life than having a new baby, and yet there is perhaps nothing that is scarier as well. One of the things I hate the most about having an infant in the house is the inevitable ear infections that come with it.

I have brought five children home from the hospital in the past ten years, and I have also been around when many friends and my sisters have brought their new babies home to stay. We have all experienced the unmatched joy of adding a new life into the family, but we have also experienced the fears and the frustrations that come when our precious babies get sick and we aren’t sure what to do about it. My first experience with an ear infection came just a month after my oldest daughter was born.

I wasn’t sure that she had an ear infection at first, but all I knew was that she was more sensitive than before and that she cried way more than just when she was hungry. I let it go for a couple of days, thinking perhaps this was just a stage she was going through. When the crying became worse and more consistent and she seemed to be getting even more sensitive with each hour, I made a few calls to my mother, my sisters and then finally my daughter’s doctor. I got the same response from all of them: it sounded like my little daughter was experiecing her first ear infection.

I made an appointment to bring my daughter Ava into the doctor’s office that afternoon. Until then, I tried everything possible to soothe what I now knew was a cry caused by great pain. We walked, I sang, I gave her massages, but nothing seemed to help her pain now. Our doctor’s appointment later that day confirmed that she had not just one ear infection, but that she had in fact a double ear infection in one ear and a single ear infection in the other. Of course, being a new mother I wondered what I had done to cause this problem. When the doctor and later my mother assured me that I had done nothing wrong, I began to feel better as my little girl began to feel better with the help of her meds.

I’ll tell you, having a child with an ear infection is one of the scariest things as a parent. Get good information about the warning signs from your doctor and monitor your children carefully from the beginning.

Will Open Fit Hearing Aids Give Me Perfect Hearing

Submitted by: Mike Roberts

No Hearing Aid can ever restore your hearing to what it was before you suffered some hearing loss.

Most hearing loss is caused either by a person getting older or trauma to the ear by illness or accident. Hearing Aids have been used by the hearing impaired for some considerable time. Over the years they have changed as technologies are improved and also the expectations of the general public have increased. The basic Hearing Aid (Analogue) collected the sounds in a very small microphone, amplified it and passed it to a minute speaker, which then sent the amplified sound to the eardrum. This greatly helped the sufferer to hear sounds that were difficult to hear before. Although this was a great help to those with hearing loss , this type of Hearing Aid had a number of problems. The major of which is that it amplified all sounds that it collected, to an equal amount. Most sufferers generally only have hearing loss at certain frequencies, either they cannot hear voices very well or they have trouble hearing high notes in music. The other major problem is that background noise is amplified an equal amount. as the sound you wish to hear making it difficult to hear individual voices in a crowded room.

Digital Hearing Aids overcame a lot of these problems. They have the ability of being able to be tuned. That is the Aid can be set up to only amplify the frequencies where there is a hearing loss. Also they can be found to blank out certain background noises. This has been a major step to allowing sufferers to enjoy talking to another individual in a crowd. There have still been some problems even with these Digital Hearing Aids. The main one being that wearers have the feeling that the ear is blocked up, giving a hollow sound within the ear. This is because the ear mould that fits into the ear channel, completely fills it. This had to be made like this to stop any sounds travelling back from the ear mould to the microphone in the body of the Aid, thus causing feedback. Feed back is a loud whistle that can be very upsetting to the wearer.

The latest developments in Digital Hearing Aids, have overcome this problem by including a circuit in the Hearing Aid that suppresses the feed back. This then has allowed the ear mould within the ear, not to completely fill the ear channel. It now has small apertures in the mould allowing the passage of air through it. This has overcome the main problem of the ear feeling blocked up and the hollow sounds associated with talking andeating etc.

There are also other major benefits to having an Open Fit Hearing Aid. The cost of fitting an Open Fit is substantially less as a customised ear mould does not have to be made and also they can be fitted almost immediately , thus saving both time and money at the fitting stage.

Open Fit Hearing Aids are most beneficial to people who have good hearing at the lower frequencies and poor hearing at the higher frequencies which is the most common type of hearing. Loss.

Open Fit Hearing Aids are now extremely small, only about 25-30cms, and therefore fit very neatly behind the ear with a very thin tube connecting to the ear mould within the ear channel, making it almost invisible to wear and therefore much more acceptable.

The key issues are discussed in detail and, there is even a list of important things to watch out for. Trying to make decision with only half the information can end up being quite costly. I hope you will find this article as helpful to you as it was for me.

9 Useful Earring Buying Tips

Submitted by: Lorraine Venner

The right earrings can be the finishing touch that turns an ordinary ensemble into the envy of every woman in the room. But the wrong earring can be a painful experience for both your ear and your fashion sense.

The good news is that knowing the difference between the right earrings and the wrong ones is easier than it seems. Here are some common sense guidelines to help you get started:

1. Choose a Great Design

Like other types of jewelry, earrings come in a wide variety of shapes and styles. Although the style of your earrings will often be determined by the occasion, you shouldn’t be afraid to branch out and try new designs. Experiment with an assortment of styles until you find the ones that are right for you.

Your earrings can help you create your own desired effect: professional, classy, romantic, sexy, fun, silly, delightful and/or cute. Choose your design with your intent in mind.

2. Metals to Consider

Earrings can be comprised of a variety of precious and non-precious metals including gold, silver, and nickel-based alloys. When choosing earrings, it is important to note that certain metals have been known to cause allergic reactions in some people. This is especially true of nickel-based metals, small amounts of which are found in stainless steel. If metal allergies are a problem for you, then you’ll probably want to look for hypo-allergenic earrings made of either titanium or niobium.

Sterling silver is only 92.5% silver the rest is an alloy. 14 kt gold is 58.5% gold with the rest is an alloy such as copper, silver, zinc or nickel depending on desired shade. If needed, you can find out exactly what metal you are allergic to by going to an allergist.

3. Matching Earrings to You

Color is another important consideration in earring selection. A nicely colored earring should complement your eyes and facial complexion as well as your outfit. Experiment with an assortment of colors until you find ones that draw out your complexion and go well with the colors that dominate your wardrobe. Remember: You usually buy earrings to match your outfit, not outfits to match your earrings!

4. Gem or No Gem

The decision to wear an earring with a gemstone is largely based on occasion and personal preference. Small gemstones add an interesting sparkle for everyday wear, while larger gemstones should be reserved for special occasions. Another factor to consider is cost. For genuine gems, the bigger the stone, the bigger the price tag.

5. Is Bigger Better

When it comes to earrings, size matters. A good earring takes into consideration not only the size of the ear, but also the hair and face. If the earrings are too large they will draw undue attention to themselves and detract from your overall appearance. If they are too small, they will not be seen.

6. Remember to Check Weight

The weight of your earring makes a big difference in both comfort and appearance. The droop of an overweight earring looks bad and can be potentially harmful to the ear if it leads to ripping or tearing of the lobe.

7. Hoops and Dangles

In addition to size and weight, the length of the earring also needs to be considered. Although a longer earring can add a touch of elegance, it can also hinder your movement and easily become more of a problem than it’s worth. When trying on longer earrings, make sure you can easily move your head from side to side without catching the earring on your collar or shoulder.

8. Should You Always Buy Pierced Earrings

Over the years, many women have been hesitant to wear clip-on earrings because of the perception that they are more easily lost than earrings that are designed for pierced ears. Even so, the two most important considerations in choosing a pair of earrings are comfort and appearance. If a clip-on looks and feels good, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t buy them. Also, if the woman doesn’t have pierced ears, clip-ons, screw-ons and ear cuffs are popular choices.

9. How Much Should You Spend

Earrings can range in price from a few bucks to thousands of dollars depending on the quality of metal and gems they contain. Most women prefer to spend moderately on the ones they wear everyday and spend a little more lavishly on a couple of pairs they reserve for special occasions. The important thing is that you are satisfied with the earrings you purchase, no matter however much you decide to spend.

History Of Body Piercing

Submitted by: Mike Barus

Body piercing is an age-old art form that has been used in generations in cultures all around the world. Many individuals today who seek to pierce different parts of their body may choose to do so to honor their heritage or make a unique statement of their own. If you are interested in piercing a part of your body, consider researching the origin and history of different types of body piercing.

The first sign of body piercing is the form of nose rings that were recorded approximately 4,000 years ago in the Middle East. In fact, there is even mention of nose piercing in the Bible. Nomadic tribes in Africa and the Middle East still practice nose piercing, and often the size and quality of the ring denote the wealth and social status of the wearer. Nose piercing is also common in India, where the left nostril is pierced to prevent medical issues and ease childbirth.

Tongue rings date back to the ancient Aztec and Mayan cultures of Central America and Mexico. These cultures heavily believed in the power of shaman, who pierced the tongues of individuals in order to communicate with their deities. The pain from the piercing forced the individual into an altered mental state, whereas the blood from the hole was shed in their honor. In addition to these native cultures, certain tribes in the Pacific Northwest also practiced tongue piercing for similar reasons.

Ear piercing is by far the most popular type of body piercing and is believed to have been practiced longer than any other form of body piercing. In fact, when scientists found what they believe to be the world?s oldest fully mummified body, tests showed holes punctured through the mummy?s ears. Ear piercing ranged from a status symbol to a magical ward to a coming of age ritual.

The lip labret piercing is used in many African cultures, with graduated discs inserted in the hole to slowly stretch the skin. The size of the disc is directly associated with power, virility, and status. Similarly, tribes in Mali, Ethiopia, South America, and the Pacific Northwest pierce the lip labret. Famous explorer Dr. Livingstone came upon the Makololo tribe in the African country of Malawi and inquired to why the men in the tribe wore lip labret. The answer was a simple one: beauty.

Another piecing popular with ancient cultures and civilizations is the septum piercing. Commonly associated with the ?bull ring,? a septum piercing penetrates the space directly between the nostrils. Most ancient tribes pierced their septum in order to promote a fierce or war-like face on their warriors. Individuals in India, Tibet, and Nepal wear a septum piercing, as do many North American Indian tribes, including the Nez Perce. Australian aboriginals also wear a piercing through the septum and have so for thousands of years.

Body piercing has been around for thousands of years, ranging back to primitive people to current individuals and tribes all over the world. Although some body piercing may be controversial, they are certainly not original or new. Many individuals choose to showcase their cultural or native heritage by choosing a body piercing that reflects their heritage. Furthermore, many individuals seek a body piercing in a traditional manner or choose to be pierced while visiting an exotic destination. If this is the case, ensure the piercing parlor is reputable and practices outstanding hygiene. Others choose to pierce different parts of their bodies to elicit a shock to those around them. Still, others choose a piercing for personal reasons, whether it is a remembrance of a beloved friend or family member or in honor of a personal milestone.

L-glutamine Help,leaky Gut Syndrome,help Heal Leaky,leaky Guts,gut Syndrome,heal Leaky,help Heal

Submitted by: Deborah Flemming

Few of us ever give a thought to the condition of the linings of our small and large intestines until something goes wrong. However, the integrity of those linings forms our first line of defense against a number of serious conditions, among them leaky gut syndrome. Curing leaky gut syndrome can be very difficult precisely because it is often not diagnosed correctly to begin with, and people can suffer for years before receiving proper treatment, if ever.

There can be a number of causes of leaky bowels, among them stress, yeast infections, alcohol use, incorrect diet, antibiotics, and even pollution. Leaky gut syndrome often begins when there has been damage to the protective mucus lining of the intestines. Once this lining has been compromised, toxins, acids, and enzymes can start to cause harm to the actual tissues. Spaces can open up between the cells which result in intestinal permeability.

The same acids and toxins that harmed the lining of the intestines can now enter the body itself, to be absorbed into the bloodstream.

Among the factors that contribute to the integrity of the intestinal linings are the beneficial bacteria that inhabit these organs. These bacteria perform a very important function in keeping the yeast that most of us carry, Candida albicans, suppressed. Some of these beneficial bacteria use the yeast as food. However, once these bacteria have been eliminated or drastically reduced, yeast will multiply. When Candida has reached a certain density, it will often go ?berserk? and change into a fungal form. This is when it really becomes dangerous to health, as the hyphae (somewhat similar to roots) will grow through the walls of the intestines, forming spaces that allow seepage of undigested foods.

Restoring the intestinal lining is of the utmost importance in treating leaky gut successfully, and this is where L-Glutamine is so valuable. L-Glutamine is an amino acid that is naturally present in the body, especially in the small intestine. Amino acids are what combine to make our cells, tissues, and organs and are essential for good health. Although our bodies do make glutamine, there are times when more will be needed, especially to maintain or repair the intestinal lining. As can be seen, L-Glutamine is vitally important when dealing with leaky guts. This amino acid is considered to be one of the best treatments for leaky gut.

Depletion of L-Glutamine can have a domino effect on the body, as leaky bowel syndrome symptoms can extend to nearly every part of the person. In addition to the many gastrointestinal problems associated with leaky guts, this syndrome does, in effect, send its ?hyphae? into nearly every part of the body.

Rheumatoid arthritis and possibly lupus can be triggered by the over response of the immune system to the toxic leakage.

Headaches for which no other cause can be found can often be the result of leaky guts. Leaky bowel syndrome is also suspected of being the cause of fatigue and insomnia, as well as personality changes.

Irritability and depression often have leaky bowels at the root. Restoring the mucus lining of the intestines is often the way to correct so many other problems, and adding an L-Glutamine supplement is an excellent way to do this.

It is possible to add L-Glutamine to your diet by eating foods such as dairy products, beef, raw vegetables such as spinach, or chicken. However, when you are suffering from leaky guts, you may want to take advantage of an extra boost of this essential amino acid. L-Glutamine is available today as a supplement to help restore damaged intestinal linings. You will find that this supplement in powder, capsules, or tablets, which will help you to control your dosage more exactly than if you were to rely only on food sources for glutamine. While there have been no reported side effects with L-Glutamine, be sure to stay within the recommended dosage described on the packaging.

These are tough times. And many of us are feeling it in our wallets. But .. No matter how tough times are, we can’t forget the basics. And tragus piercing fell out what should i do definitely is one of the basics. And, without the basics taken care of, how can you get started?
Below is one of the best articles we have ever read on the subject. It lays everything out nicely, it’s easy to read, and, understand, it touches on all of the key issues, and, best of all, when you have finished reading it, you will definitely know which is a very good direction to take given your circumstances.

When I Fell In Love With Caramel (And Other Things)

Submitted by: Julee Mitchelsin

I am one of those people for whom decision making and life direction has always come a little slower. One of the biggest decisions that took me a while to figure out was what I wanted to be “when I grew up.” Keep in mind that I had been grown up for quite some time when I finally figured out how I wanted to spend my days and hence my life. I was nearing my thirties when I finally decided to go to culinary school with the hopes of becoming a pastry chef. So I entered a two year culinary program having no idea that I’d learn to love caramel and many other things as well.

In some ways, deciding to go to culinary school was a very random decision for me and in other ways it made total sense based on what I wanted to do. I have always loved food and I helped my mother in the kitchen from the time I was able to be of any help (and perhaps long before then). My jobs in the kitchen were usually something glamorous like washing the potatoes or stirring the soup. But I loved it. I loved every moment that I got to be in the kitchen helping my mother prepare good meals that people would enjoy. I especially loved helping my mom prepare desserts for our family and guests after we finished with dinner. I loved helping her make her now-famous caramel apple pies especially.

For me, culinary school was a time when I fell in love with foods like caramel, fruits and certain vegetables even more than I had before. I guess I just became more and more fascinated by everything that could be done with food the more I worked with food. I did well throughout the program, but I began to excel around the time that we began focusing on desserts and pastries. I’m not sure what it is about preparing desserts for people that excites me, but it does. My dream quickly became to be the head dessert and pastry chef for an upscale restaurant in my town.

By the time the second year of culinary school began, I focused all of my efforts on specialty desserts and pastries. I loved the freedom my professors gave me to work independently on recipes of my own. I was busy coming up with an even better caramel glazed pastry and with perfecting my late mother’s famous caramel apple pie. I loved it.

I truly learned to love caramel and other foods in culinary school. If you have any amount of fascination with good food like I did, then I suggest you head off to culinary school as soon as possible.

About the Author: Julee Mitchelsin is a professional pastry chef that still specializes in caramel filled desserts. See www.allcaramel.info for more about caramel.

The Body Piercing Phenomenon

Submitted by: Mike Paetzold

Body piercing has been a fast-growing phenomenon in Western, developed nations since the early 90?s. Interestingly enough, this form of ?neo-art? has its roots in the ancient traditions of many tribal cultures.

Body piercing has been aggressively marketed as a connection to non-western spiritual and cultural practices, though such a link does not seem to actually exist. Nonetheless, modern primitivism claims that current piercing practices correspond to ancient ?rite of passage? ceremonies.

Once thought to be an extreme trend, body piercing has enjoyed massive growth in the past decade. For instance, just about any town in the U.S. with a population of over 20,000 is likely to have one or more piercing studios.

The market for piercing has become competitive and virtually flooded with new service providers. Unfortunately many vendors have not undergone any significant training before opening shop.

In addition to various infections, hepatitis C can result from improper piercing procedure, poor care of pierced area, or the use of non-sterile piercing tools. More than just a ?cool new look? any non-traditional piercing of the body should be viewed as an important decision and a major responsibility.

If you are considering your first body piercing, or if you are the parent of a teen who is begging for permission to get a bellybutton ring, you need to be aware of certain serious risks that are involved. Recent medical journals have chronicled literally hundreds of cases where people have been injured, become ill, and even died due to errors and complications with body piercing procedures!

Perhaps a foremost concern is the great responsibility of ongoing care. Unlike the earlobes, which lend themselves to a near painless piercing, resistance to easy infection, and great simplicity in care and cleaning after a procedure, many other areas of the body are less than ideal for housing foreign metal objects.

For instance, the nose, bellybutton, and nipples are particularly sensitive to penetration. Severe swelling is common, and infection will set in quickly if proper cleaning is not performed on a tight schedule.

While body piercing has become immensely popular in the U.S., especially in larger urban areas, the phenomenon has been called ?relatively new? in Canada. The Canadian piercing market did not see a major surge until the turn of the century, with estimated retail activity significantly lower than U.S. numbers as late as 2007.

Many enthusiasts claim piercing rose to great popularity in Europe many years prior to the North American mainstream acceptance. However, media interest in the practice and global mass-market appeal were not evident until late in the last century when the piercing craze officially hit the states.

To date, there has been no clear timeline showing when and how this aggressive form of body art made the leap from obscure tribal cultures to the youth of the developed world. But one thing is certain: body piercing is likely to continue the current rise in acceptance and popularity for at least another decade, and could even lead to new developments in off-center fashion and neo-tribal culture.
